In mid-2020, Shangqiu Yueda Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. customized 8 sets of 20-ton-per-day waste tire pyrolysis equipment for a waste recycling and environmental protection enterprise in Mexico. The equipment was successfully installed, commissioned and put into formal operation in Mexico City.
All systems were tested in strict compliance with international oil refining equipment standards, as well as Mexico’s Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection Law and Waste Prevention, Control and Comprehensive Integrated Management Law. The equipment delivers stable performance, energy conservation and eco-friendliness, fully meeting local emission standards, and has gained high recognition from the client and Mexico’s Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT).
Project Objectives of Mexico Waste Tire to Fuel Oil Project
The client is a leading local environmental protection and waste recycling enterprise in Mexico City, mainly engaged in waste tire collection, sorting, recycling and environmental remediation services.
With the rapid development of Mexico’s automotive and logistics industries, the volume of waste tires has been increasing year by year. Traditional disposal methods such as stockpiling and open-air burning not only occupy massive land resources, but also cause serious air and soil pollution, which runs counter to Mexico’s strict waste management legislation and green sustainable development goals.
Meanwhile, Mexico is highly reliant on imported natural gas and fuel oil. More than 70% of its natural gas consumption is imported from the United States, exposing the country to risks of supply disruption and price fluctuations. This has created a growing and urgent demand for cost-effective alternative fuels in local industrial production, power generation and transportation sectors.
The client realized that existing small-scale waste tire processing equipment features low efficiency and severe pollution, and fails to meet the requirements of large-scale processing as well as the strict environmental standards specified in Mexico’s Waste Prevention, Control and Comprehensive Integrated Management Law. Therefore, the client chose Shangqiu Yueda for a customized, high-efficiency, eco-friendly and fully compliant waste tire disposal solution.
